Sally Malanga founded Ecco Bella, a natural and organic beauty company, in 1992. Ecco Bella sprang from Sally’s protests against the use of animals for cosmetics testing, and its mission expanded to include the invention of glorious natural beauty products from the universe of organics and nutraceuticals. Sally, who serves on the board of directors of Friends of Animals, centers her work on the principle that all beings deserve respect and appreciation.
Thanks to her customers, Sally has been able to keep her “activist eyes” on every aspect of Ecco Bella. Their support has encouraged her to formulate outstanding natural and organic skin care and cosmetics that are free of water, gluten, dyes, GMO's, slaughterhouse products and preservatives. Sally’s mission is to use her knowledge and passion for her customers to create products that make their body and soul brighter, finer, smoother and happier!
Besides speaking out for animals and the environment, Ecco Bella’s products help customers conserve money, by having each product multi-task. For example, the skin care products contain enough aloe and vitamins to claim benefits as both anti-aging and anti-blemish products! That means fewer products to buy.
Ecco Bella shows its caring for customers through extra care for the ingredients. You’ll be pleased to learn that the nutraceuticals in its skin care products are first encapsulated in trillions of microspheres called VitaminCells. That means they remain pure and potent until needed.
Often mistaken for being 20 years younger than she actually is, Kim Sheridan has been on the vegan path for 25 years. She has delved into and lived all aspects of a vegan diet and lifestyle, including junk food vegan, whole food vegan, and raw food vegan. She is the co-author of the raw food classic, "Uncooking with Jameth and Kim"; is one of the early pioneers of the raw foods movement; and is the co-founder of HealthForce Nutritionals. She is also the founder of a non-profit organization, Compassion Circle, and author of the award-winning "Animals and the Afterlife," which has a strong vegan message and has inspired countless readers worldwide to go vegan.
Many body type and blood type systems claim someone such as Kim can't be vegan. She is primarily vata in Ayurveda, has type O blood, and was very skinny growing up, yet she thrives now as a vegan. She did not always thrive as a vegan because she was eating the wrong vegan diet at first. Where many in her shoes would have reverted back to eating animal products, Kim's strong and pure ethics prevented her from doing so. Her lack of thriving caused her to learn more and dig deeper to learn truths about veganism that few know, including little known facts about raw foods.
Kim was a very sickly child and has overcome much personal health adversity. As an adult, she healed herself of a thyroid condition with a healthy vegan diet, herbs, and healing cleanses (doctors told her she would be on thyroid hormone for the rest of her life, but Kim proved them wrong). Kim also had advanced (allegedly incurable) osteoporosis due to Celiac disease (gluten intolerance). Kim completely reversed the osteoporosis on a vegan diet and now has unusually strong and healthy bones for a woman of her age. She also overcame extreme menstrual problems and has helped other women to do the same.
Kim is a wealth of living knowledge on veganism and holistic health. Over the past 25 years, she has helped countless people to go vegan, stay vegan, and even return to veganism after leaving it.
Kim is also the founder of HealthyChick.com and HealthyHunk.com, and author of the forthcoming book, "Healthy Chick" with a motto of “Girl Power, Inside and Out, at any Age.”
